
A best seller book by Dr. Don Colbert talks about different types of foods you should eat and shouldn't eat. People cram foods in their bodies without reading the labels on whats in them or go to fast food resturants witout having knowledge of calories thats in your meals. On page 24 in his book it states "the foods we need to avoid are not necessarily the unclean foods listed in Leviticus and Deuteronomy; the foods weneed to avoid because they are causingthe epidemic of obesity and disease are the man-made foods-processed foods,fast foods,excessive sugars,and toxic fats. These are the real killers in the American diet." That's true because I noticed myself being bigger than I should be because I would cram,and cram, and cram processed foods from resturants,fast food etc etc. That was during my pregnancy because my food cravings were really wild and ever since my weight has gone up and down. Stuggling to find some sort of diet to be on was impossible so THANK GOD for this book. I've just been reading bits and pieces of it when I can in my busy schedule and it helps, it's a miracle!!! Things to avoid are carbs and access sugars. As far as sugar, puts pounds and causes dibetes. Splenda is not good for you. It's a substance called sucralose, which is made by turning sugar into chlorocarbon. It causes you to have bloating, abdominal pain,gas nausea,blurry vision,diarrhea,headaches(especially migraines),heart palpitations,shortness of breath,frequent of breath,frequent need to urine at night,depression or overwhelming anxiety,spaces-out or drugged sensation,joint pains,and dizziness. Natural sugars are good for you like stevia,chicory root, Lo Han,or xylitol also found in trident gum. Diet sodas aren't good to drink when your dieting because it has Aspartame in it which has methanol and formaldehyde which causes blindness,eye damage or neurological damage. When you eat and buy breads and pasta always get whole grain or whole wheat because the regular white breads and pastas are bleached and aren't good for you so think to buy and eat natural organic wheats. Avoid too many fried foods because of bleched flour and grease can cause heart problems, meats that aren't USDA approved.(Be careful what meats you eat because most cows are given stiroids which causes increased weight growth. Fruits and vegetables should all be washed thoroughly because of chemicals. Those are just a few simple examples of food info. If you want to live eat wisely.
