WE ARE FACING A BIG DEMONIC WAR AGAINST THE YOUNG GENERATION IN OUR CHURCH. THE HIP HOP CULTURE SPIRIT HAS BEEN EMBRACED BY MANY LEADERS,PASTORS, AND MINISTERS OF THE GOSPEL TO THINK IT'S OK TO HAVE HIP HOP IN THEIR CHURCH. THEY HAVE BEEN INVITING SECULAR ARTISTS SUCH AS T.I,KANYE WEST,YOUNG JOC,DAVID BANNER AND MANY OTHERS TO COME AND PERFORM FOR THE YOUNG PEOPLE AT THEIR CHURCHES. WE NEED TO TAKE A STAND AND FIGHT AGIANST THE ENEMIES SKEEM TO CONFUSE AND CURRUPT THE MINDS OF OUR GENERATION. IN 2CORINTHIANS 5:17 IT SAYS, "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." WHEN WE COME TO KNOW JESUS AS OUR PERSONAL SAVIOR,WE TURN AWAY FROM OUR OLD WICKED WAYS. HIP HOP FOR THE AFRICAN AMERICAN COMMUNITY HAS INFLUENCED THEIR MINDS INTO THINKING THAT IT'S OK TO ACT LIKE THE WORLD AND BE IN CHURCH AT THE SAME TIME. WE ARE IN THIS WORLD BUT NOT OF IT! ROMANS 12:2 SAYS, "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." CHRISTIANS DON'T REALIZE WHO THEIR UP AGAINST. HIP HOP WAS NOT CREATED BY GOD. IT'S A CULTURE! THE BIBLE ALSO SAYS IN EPHESIANS 6:12 "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." IT'S OUR SPIRITUAL RIGHT TO TAKE A STAND AND PROTEST AGAINST THE WICKEDNESS THAT'S BEHIND HIP HOP THAT'S LEADING OUR YOUTH OF THIS GENERATION STRAIGHT TO HELL! STOP PUTTING SECULAR MUSIC IN GOSPEL MUSIC!! LETS BRING BACK HOLINESS AND RIGHTEOUSNESS IN THE CHURCH!! STOP INVITING THESE WORLDY SECULAR ARTISTS TO YOUR CHURCH TO PERFORM!!!YOUR LEADING THEM STAIGHT TO HELL! LET'S TAKE A STAND AND FIGHT TO CANCEL COCO BROTHER LIVE AND MANY OTHER HOLY HIP HOP DJ'S!!! STOP BEING INFLUENCED BY THE WORLD WHICH HAVE GOTTEN YOU IN TROUBLE IN THE FIRST PLACE!!! WE AS CHRISTIANS SHOULD INFLUENCE THE WORLD TO TURN AWAY FROM THAT BONDAGE OF THE MIND USED BY HIP HOP!!! I understand where you're coming from in terms of the culture being something that we as a Christian people must not adhere to (the drugs, sex and rock and roll), but the skill set that this brings is nothing more than a re-representation of poets, speakers and songwirters from previous times and such. There was a moment where Blues, Jazz and even country music was considered something of an evil entity, mainly because of the propaganda placed in your eyesight and mindset by mainstream media. They want you to believe that these skill sets are a tool of the devil, being used to sway the flow of life and behavior of young people and ultimately, the future of the world as we know it. In all honesty, the devil is more prone to spin the wool of deciet and lies with a fabric more inviting seemingly harmless than hip-hop - say, Barney or Mickey Mouse; primetime comedies and dramas, even preaching. I've seen the impact of the skill set regard as lyricism and when the hip-hop culture first began, it was something of a positive movement, inducing community togetherness, cultural empowerment and freedom of intellectual speech. I've seen that same spark residing in younger kids, young adults my age and even some of the older crowd. There are artists that still have this mindset when approaching music, even the music that i create myself is something of a unique brand of music that discusses real life, but I guarantee it's nothing of a nature that i would be afriad to allow my pastor, mother or father to hear. In fact, they love it, even more than the music you hear on the radio. i would like to think that by me keeping true to my values and staying in line with my true life experiences, I can be one of the few and new who will push music back to whrere it needs to be. Now, I do not believe that I can abolish what is taking place in the industry, as the enemy is always gonna be around, what i can do is provide an alternative for my Christian brothers and sisters, as well as set an example of the brand of hip-hop and R&B enthused music that can be made without the surrendering of your soul to the status quo of mainstream music and sociaty in general. What the mainstream companies have taken and turned it into is something that we cannot live our lives based upon. So, in closing, you have a valid point, but please do me and the millions of kids and young adults who understand the difference between the God-given craft and the world-given "culture" by not lumping them in together.
